Welcome to the website for the West Of Scotland Development Education Centre (WOSDEC)
WOSDEC is the West of Scotland Development Education Centre and is one of six development education centres (DECs) in Scotland.
WOSDEC works with teachers and others responsible for education to
promote global citizenship in schools and to ensure that there is a
global dimension throughout Scottish education. Using creative
resources and methods we support learning and teaching in a way that
encourages young people to be confident and effective contributors
to a more just and equitable world. We are located in the centre of
Glasgow and welcome enquiries by telephone or e-mail. We also
maintain a library of resources and visitors are most welcome to
come and browse our collection.

Global Schools Partnership Events
As part of the DFID Global Schools Partnerships programme there are two events in March:-
- Introduction to Global Schools Partnerships. - 19th March 2010 at the Lanarkshire Global Education Centre, Coatbridge
- Global Education in Partnership - 26th March 2010 at the Renfield Centre, Glasgow
