EVENT: Introduction to Global School Partnerships

DESCRIPTION: This is an introductory workshop covering the principles, educational benefits, practicalities and viability of global school partnerships. A local school with an established global school partnership will also tell you about their experience. The workshop is for school staff who are interested in establishing, or who have just initiated, a global school partnership.

EVENT: Global Citizenship – helping to implement Curriculum for Excellence

DESCRIPTION: A professional development day for all Secondary teachers. This full day workshop will explore how global citizenship can strengthen curriculum subjects as well as providing an innovative and creative context for interdisciplinary work.

DATE: Thursday 25th November 2010

VENUE: Lanarkshire Global Education Centre, Calder Avenue, Coatbridge ML5 4JS

COST: £95 per participant (£75 special rate if you register before 23rd April 2010) Numbers are limited so early booking is recommended.

WOSDEC CONFERENCE October 2009

Wosdec held its first annual conference at Parkhead Stadium, Glasgow on the 23rd October 2009. The aim of the conference was to help teachers integrate global citizenship into policy and practice. This was a very successful event with over 60 teachers attending from various schools. A big thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so successful.
